- 気象研究所では衛星・地上観測シミュレータの高度化を目的として、エアロゾル・氷晶・降雪粒子などを対象とした非球形粒子散乱特性データベースを構築中である。ここでは特に黄砂や一部の氷晶粒子にみられる複雑な形状粒子のモデル化と、その粒子に適用する散乱計算手法の概要について説明する。
